One awful morning during their junior year Valerie’s boyfriend, Nick, kills six classmates, a teacher, wounding some, and then shooting himself. Valerie risked her own life to save Jessica, a popular girl at school. Nick used the “hate list” that Valerie helped him create. She helped with the list as a way to vent her pain of arguing with her parents all the time and her being bullied at school. Senior year comes and she is trying recover from everything that happened, she feels oblivious, stressed, with guilt just eating her up. This book is a tragic story that has plot twist that will leave you hanging and is written with great emotion throughout the novel.
